Why is it so hard for [editor]s to edit their own reels? I wish I knew. After years of putting it off, here is my 2009 Show Reel.
Here is my bio:
I’m an [editor]. I enjoy editing live action, animation, and especially the inbetween. I’ve edited a feature animated film, two interactive DVDs, promos, trailers, commercials and many “hey, could you just add some [v]fx to this…”. I’ve assisted on multiple interactive DVDs, a few documentaries, and too many weddings. I’m permalance at Extra Large Technology, where I freeze in the air conditioning unless the breaker has blown. I was involved with every moving picture you can find on their website.
Inspired by my assistant editing for Scott Hamilton Kennedy on the Oscar nominated documentary, The Garden, I’m working on my first documentary. It’s about building schools in the Amazon with Ray of Hope. We’re extremely close to locking the edit.
That’s me. I’m an [editor]. I work with Final Cut Pro and After Effects. I can use Avid, but I prefer to avoid it.
Some days I claim to be a {writer} but that side of me is a work-in-progress. I’m a transplant from Iowa. Now I call Southern California home. Specifically, Eagle Rock. I’ve lived here for three years and I’m doing what I set out to do – edit.
